Haven’t seen videos of the incidents but have seen some previous ones.
If most checkbook racers (“gentlemen drivers”) in that series are coming from PCA club racing (with corner “ownership” rules and the “pca chop” hardwired in their habits), then combining them with non-PCA racers (who expect co-existence and racing room upon overlap anywhere on the track) would result in a lot of “confusion” and “misunderstandings”.

Most of the time, Pro's bring money to the team, out of which they get paid.
Or, they get paid to drive lesser series and bring money to drive in a higher series.
Only a very small fraction of ALL Pro drivers just drive.

There is so much that can be learned from this post. Probably won't happen. But it sure would be nice.

This! I don’t know a thing about ADAC, but the sanctioning body should have a LOT to do with on-track behavior. We had some issues in MX-5 Cup in race 1 at Road America. IndyCar called a drivers only meeting and Kyle Novak and Max Pappis had a “discussion” with us. Very effective. Previous to IndyCar taking over the series there was a lot more carnage.

What is IMSA thinking. Even if they culled 5-7 cars of the 37 car line-up the that’s still +30 cars. Better to have slightly smaller reasonably behaved field that is enjoyable for drivers and spectators alike.
As it stands its just an embarrassing crash-fest.

Lots of kids running in the series now.
They should be running formula cars to get racing skills, that would teach them to drive well and cleanly.
THEN if they are good they can try the GT3 cup and see if they can become pro sports car racers.
IMHO
