"In the 1980s, race car driver Randy Lanier sped to stardom at the Indy 500 – all while secretly funding his racing through a double life as one of the biggest pot kingpins in American history. In this six-part podcast Lanier's story highlights society's changing relationship with marijuana and the legacy of those already incarcerated for it." Produced by the Miami Herald.
Just listened to the entire podcast while sitting in NYC traffic going and coming back from a meeting. Great podcast, very interesting in many ways. Sad in many ways as well. I have never been addicted to anything other than racing lol, when you try to explain the addiction to people its hard for them to understand. I have stepped away from it and started up again several times because i couldnt put myself into debt or do something just in order to race.
