Default 19 inch track whee set question.

My car as it stands now has:

Current Stock:
- 235/35 R20 ET57 8x20
- 265/35 R20 ET45 10x20

Considering OZ Ultraleggera's wheels 19
- 245/35/R19 ET54 = 0.3 inch further out, 3.2% inc in width, -2.6% circum
- 275/35/R19 ET40 = 0.4 inch farther out, 3.8% inc in width, -2.6% circum

TireRack recommends on the same OZ Ultralegerars's
- 235/40 R19 ET54 8.5x19 = 0.12 inch further out, n/c width, circ -0.4% (free rake?)
- 265/40 R19 ET40 10x19 = 0.2 inch further out, n/c width, circ n/c

Rubbing with any of the above set-ups?

The above would be on a 718 with stock regular (non-fancy) suspension that is used for a few DE's a year. No intention of modifying suspension. Will try to max front camber and match rear to front with zero toe in front and maybe ~.10 degree toe-in rear (unsure on the rear toe as of yet)

I ran those wheels on my 981 GT4 using larger rear tires (285/35) with no rubbing issues.

Thanks for the reply, what rear toe are you running?

You'll want 40 series on 19" to keep the same ratios as your existing 20": 235/40R19 and 265/40R19 is the stock size for 981s and 718s with 19s.

I am currently running 245 and 275/40 on my OE 19s with absolutely no issues. 981 Boxster S, DE and AX and daily driver (MPSS).

I have also run 235 and 265/35 on 19s and they drop the car by about an inch; the smaller diameter / circumference aids acceleration (AX) but hurts top speed. I also bashed my lower bumper on my driveway, never an issue with the stock diameter combo.

You should be able to get close to -1.5 front camber with the stock camber plates.

HTH,
Tom

The GT4 has issues with rear stability under hard braking. I solved that by running more rear toe. Later changed to TPC rear toe links and reduced rear toe a little (still more then OEM). I don't have the settings readily available but can find them if you need them.

You do not need 40 series on 19". I ran these with the 7mm spacers to accommodate the 255 / 285 sizes on my 981 Cayman with no issues. -2.7F -2.2R, front toe out 1mm, rear toe in 2mm

I'm considering the same wheel options for a 718 Cayman GTS (PASM 20mm). I'm curious what wheel and tire specs did you end up going with and how did it work out?
