Thank you Charlie.
Has anyone stated what the new MR curb weight is?
I know they add 180lbs to the car for GT4 America, but curious how much less then the 981 non MR.
I believe the 981s came in a bit higher then what they were saying @ 2910 because I don't think one has every weight that little, closer to 3100 curb weight if not mistaken.

Not sure what the weight of 718 is, I'm sure Tom can provide this info.
Regarding the 981, I believe we had to add 40lbs of weight and have 1/4 tank of gas to make min weight of 3100lbs, this includes driver.

I've seen many worse than that. Both ends are a retub, for sure. This one, not so much.
It's somewhat disappointing that the 981/991 competition platforms rely on difficult, if not impossible to repair alloy structures, but the energy absorption provided over steel is definitely a plus.
Only a detailed examination and cost analysis can determine whether a retub is the better way to go. You could ask Derek the outcome on this one.

Full MR.
This was when it showed up. It was actually in the 28XX range.
Once we installed data systems, fuel and cool box we still had to add water to the cool box to make weight!
This is why the cars did so well at the Roar and got BoP'd to death.
Now we are too heavy IMO.
