I despise him less than I used to, all kidding aside that is a very generous gesture., a great and heart breaking story at the same time.

Very generous gesture indeed..

im not a fan of the hamlet either, but this was big hearted.

Formula 1 needs a major revamp.. it’s become so predictable therefore boring...

Not sure why people find fault in Lewis....I’ve seen some great drives from him over the years. He’s done nice things outside of racing too and this gesture to make someone’s day brighter that Dave posted is extremely warm hearted.

He can come across as arrogant, but he does try to help others and really takes care of his family. LOVE his pups

Great gesture by Hamilton, a generous, thoughtful and classy move. He’s staying on form, with the great start in Spain and the incredible Monaco lap-record to secure the pole! Is it too early to start thinking 6X WC?!

Because over the years he's proven by well-documented words and/or deeds that he can be a total d'bag; when you're as public as he is with his stardom the bad stuff gets emphasized and the behind-the-scenes good stuff stays, well, behind the scenes. I'm sure he's done his share of stuff like this that nobody knows about, so good on him. Maybe he's softening a bit with age, but not on track--that pole lap he pulled off today was magic. Nothing like watching F1 in-car footage at Monaco

It didn't even look real... Looks like they sped it up for TV. The last sector was unreal

While amazing, and certainly the fastest, Senna's pole lap around Monaco still gives me goosebumps.

Back on topic, I think Lewis is growing up, and it must be hard living under a microscope and trying to please everyone, but he can be quite an arrogant d-bag at times. That being said, and in his defense, if you don't have that ruthless feeling about you than you aren't going to win races.

Can you be a nice guy and win the WC? When Ricciardo wins we will have the answer!

Ha! Don't hold your breath......he's destined to be a backmarker for quite a while, methinks

Gary
......Hakkinen was a pretty nice guy as I recall, as was the sainted J Clark......I'm sure there's more.
