That's moving pretty good!!!
Considering the weather around here lately, I'm guessing the ambient temp was in the 40's during this run.

Ah, LOVE that Porsche and Michelin are using the VBOX HD2, for sure.
That’s a damned good lap for Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, which are a regular production option on the new cars.

Considering a Gen IV Viper ACR was 2:20 and the gen V crushes the older ACR's I am surprised the GT2 wasn't much faster. It beat the Gen V ACR at the Ring so I would have thought close to 2:05-10 would have been possible (maybe the track was too cold that day)

Ambient temps were not far off, and the same controls (warmers, pressures, temps) were in place thanks to Jim Knowles and the other Michelin engineers for both tests.

Pole time for last year's IMSA GT3 Cup race was Robichon's 2:11 flat.
Gomez, in a 991.1 GT3 Cup (Gold Class Champion) did a fast lap of 2:14.3

You're talking FOUR-plus miles here...

And the GT3 RS just several ticks slower... and slightly quicker through the Kink!

pretty fast times on street tires wow!
Kindof a bummer though that porsche did this as an after thought to what dimakos and sellars did there last summer during the PCA club race with the gt2-rs vs gt3 cup comparison

Watching the video again, I think it might be a cheat code. Something like contra; up shift, up shift, down shift, down shift, turn left, turn right, turn left, turn right, turn signal right, turn signal left, start car. . I think hacker is probably the only one that will get that joke.
