Actually, Conway went quicker in the afternoon session. 1:41.2XX, so now more than TWO seconds.

Alonso is down to 1:42.1XX in the afternoon.

They'll start running again Sunday for testing.

Live timing and all the session results are on the WEC link here: http://fiawec.alkamelsystems.com/

Srsly. This video seems unsane.

Its as if 17 doesn’t even have any bumps.

Unreal. And keep in mind that these times are well beyond what the current F1 cars could do at Sebring,....because they would all get stuck on the bumps!

They still do, if only for a moment, Frank. Their vMax approaching T1 is insane! Let me see if I can find the vMin for these cars...

The top speeds of these cars are amazing. The Rebellion (Gibson) is breaking 290 km/h (181 mph) at the end of the backstraight and the Toyotas are about 12-15 km/h less (and lapping faster).

Their speed coming out of T17 at the pedestrian bridge at pit entry is well over 130 mph! T1 vMin is in the neighborhood of 135 mph+

That is beyond scary.... but I guess that's how they lap 35s faster than me.... they would lap me in T16 on their 3rd lap

Not TOO scary in THOSE cars. The combination of aero, regenerative braking and hybrid power and torque make the car more sure-footed than most GT cars.

I have several GB of information for GTP, LMP1 and LMP-C cars here and it’s quite remarkable what’s going on in the car while traversing T1 and T17, for sure.

I spoke with Andy Lally a few years ago at Sebring when he was driving theDyson Porsche RS Spider. He said he did not lift in turn one if he had a full tank of fuel. He had to "breathe the throttle" as he used some fuel. That seemed unbelievable to me, now the cars are much faster and better aero. If you haven't done so, you should go to Sebring for the 12 hour, there are some great spots around the track to watch.
