Eagles Canyon Raceway New Construction
For those of you that may not know, Eagles Canyon Raceway in the DFW area is undergoing complete reconstruction. This includes a newly cement stabilized base, geotech fabric, 6" total of asphalt in 3 separate lifts, miles of french drains, and proper camber all on a newly constructed mono slope. It's being done right! This place is going to be magical! There will be a long track and a short track that can be ran both ways and when linked over 2.8 miles that can also be ran both ways. Lots in store for us addicts! If you're in the area you should stop by and see the construction! If mother nature cooperates it will be done mid 2019! Teaser video shot last weekend below.

Really hope to get some club races out there again. With TWS gone, we're short on race-able, non-F1 tracks in Texas. I love MSR for practice, but it's tough to race. I'm pulling for Eagles Canyon to make a comeback.

Any chance you'll be able to create a 4th gear sweeper with the changes underway? Always felt that was missing from the "old" ECR.
And thank you for your efforts! Race tracks are an investment in love, not financial gain, we appreciate everything you guys are doing!!

There are 3 phases to our reconstruction. Phase 1 and 2 includes complete redo of the existing layout with proper camber, surface, and ability to run both ways. In this the creation of a new crossover for the short and long track track makes for a very fast short track configuration. Phase 3 is still a bit of a secret.. Let's just say something special is being planned for late 2019 which will address the desire for "fast and loaded"...

I was able to do a DE there on the extended track (2.7) a couple of weeks ago. The track surface was very green due to the rain, but was glass smooth. And to the questions about sweepers, I'm happy to report that the answer is yes!

I drove the full track last month and it was fantastic, so smooth and lots of grip everywhere. I found the lap times to be about 9-10 seconds longer than the previous config. It will be a blast to race on!
