Looks cool.
Just what nobody needed, another limited production boutique track toy to sell to some hyper rich collectors for an offensive amount of money just to make a few headlines. Hooray.
Wake me up when they make something cool that normal people can at least have a prayer of owning.

Somewhat agree on the marketing exercise (unfortunately), but I still think it's beautiful, but what do I know....

At first sight I was wowed that Porsche built this car. Refreshing to see.
Then I thought about how odd the original Moby Dick was.... And how this car looks even more odd... I was never really a moby dick kinda guy...
It has all the GT2 stuff along with proper improvements for track. But It is not a race car for direct competition which is where I stop and realize it is a collector car and track day toy. You would be hard pressed to club race it along other cars door to door given the price point and production numbers.... It is a garage piece and private track day show car. Would love to see a Ring' time on it however!
One could buy a GT3R and spares for the sticker price when you think about it.
It is a really interesting car and collectors will fall in love and eat it up. But it does not make my top 10 dream list.

I’ve been a Porsche fan for some time, but the ongoing creation of “unicorn” cars irritates me. Build something people can buy. What is the production cost of this car? What real profit do they make from manufacturing and selling it and what is that profit relative to overall profit? Porsche has as many fanboys as Tesla.

I saw the 935 up close and personal today at Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca and have to say that it looks really good in person. The attention to details is extraordinary and believe it would be an absolute beast on the track.
These "boutique" run of cars in limited quantities do seem to be for stirring up conversation and perhaps to keep the motorsports guys busy.

It is a bit like the "new" Speedster ! (New Moby-Dick has smaller prod number.)
Like it, but to my eyes, it has a fatal design flaw : The engine is at the wrong position !
Why the hell you would cover and cancel the rear part of a 911 cabin to put either a roll bar or plastic covers ?
The 911 is the BEST compromise car, because it has by design, its dedicated "room" in the rear of the cabin. (I enjoyed this config with many ones, as daily during 30 years non stop).
But, the day you want to spend more time on track, then, in my view, ONLY a car that has the engine in the right position is good.
All to say that my opinion is : The only **clever** and in *****real Porsche spirit***** "special design" ..would be a 911 with the right engine at the right place. (We call call it a new GT1 !)
Sure a Boxster with a GT3 engine would also be a REAL "in the Porsche Spirit" car, (I'm an outside guy, that's is why I wrote "Boxster"), would also be much more desired than the "marketing cars for magazine readers" mentioned above !
