Well, technically, the hotel is a Spa Resort with all the amenities that go with that. And due to the "Zen" thing, I guess they are trying to rid themselves of Type A personalities. But go figure, it is a race track as you say. I get rid of my Type A personality after a race by then having to drive a diesel excursion with 28ft trailer home for 4 hours. That is just like riding a slow elevator.

Look for the crazy scandanavian (not our own Flyin Finn) camping in the field close to the main gate. He gets there a month or two before the 12 hour. (Evidently Green Park changes a man)

I'll be there racing racing for the honor of HWFMR in F, and hope to meet some of our East Coast and Southern teammates. But I still haven't gotten over the fact that the notorious Finn will not be there.

Mike, will you be bringing your BIG ARM for pass signaling? I still laugh when I think about that Pic you posted!

Mitch

I too thought it was hysterical.

That actually wasn't my creation. I have to go back and see which of our teammates created that. But that's the kind of innovative organization "Hey, Wait For Me" Racing is.

BTW, I may need that BIG ARM. My major concern at Sebring is being passed twice by the same car as I "speed" from Turn 16 to Turn 17.

Hey Mike;

PM me with how I will recognize you at Sebring. After reading your posts for so long, I'd like to meet the author.

You know, I have been to the Sebring Club Race event for the last two years. Each year, I always see this lone campsite in the grass field at the entrance. Looks like a family with a foreign flag flying enjoying the Florida weather. Is this the group you spoke of?

If you somehow miss the Flag or "Pond" look for the guys w/ The "Motto on their backs!
Hey Mike, any chance I can become an offical member.......now that I'll finally get to wear my HWFM shirt at an Offical Club Race? Hmmm, I think that 6 months (Sept-Feb) is quite awhile between Races!
Regards
Bill

I thought you already were "official"

I look forward to seeing you at Sebring.

Are you dracing, DE-ing or spectating?

Mike, I thought officals when you get some type of moniker? But hey, I'll take "Offical" if you say
Anywho, Doing the DE. But getting the "Trackmeister" up to snuff, maybe this time next year. I'm Slooowly working in the Club Racing direction. But heck I'll fit right in with the "Motto".
We're going be at the Spring Lake Resort, looks nice, especially if you golf.
Any idea were The Pond''ll be set up? I be making a point to pay proper homage

Look for me at Sebring. I'm doing the DE and will most likely get there on Wednesday PM.

Mark, Same here! We plan on being there Wednesday PM as well. So after Reg/Tech we should have lots of time to meet you and other Turtles before the late afternoons' DE session.

(I guess I should update "my profile" to include "Offical" HWFM member)

Bill,

Looking forward to it. I can't wait to hit the track!

My car will look just like my avatar. Hopefully, I won't have a twin there.

Buckdr

Since you have not doing anything of a notorious nature that would earn you an official team function, you are free to claim one. Choose wisely.

Not sure where the pond will be this time. I'm not taking the trailer. Midwest Eurosport is transporting my car and doing track support. I don't know if I can impose on them to provide space for all the turtles and fly the banner. Perhaps one of our teammates can fly the banner. We will do a post on the Great Turtle Migration to Florida the week before the race and work this all out.

Mike, the greatest benefit of having Sebring be a local track is turn 17 which almost all visitors have problems with. That's where I hope to gain the ground that I give up elsewhere
