IMS f1 configuration
MOR pca and the staff of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway did an excellent job this weekend with their yearly event.
We are just packing up after our first time on track and it truly is a great place to run. They used the f1 configuration and it made a great weekend.
Thanks again to the morpca region, support staff, wives, friends and the Indy team - great event and look forward to returning.

It’s a wonderful venue, but is a significant upgrade from the original F1 course.
Reconfigured twice since 2000, the current configuration was completed in 2014 for the updated IRL (road course) Grand Prix a month before the Indy 500.
Glad you enjoyed it. The chapter does do a great job.

After first 3 years running Indy GP config, switched to 5A/6A from the 5/6 GP “flick”, changed the character of the lap and challenged the drives to “find there way”. Indy Car driver in attendance commented on the F1 Loop’s interesting character, changing up the GP flow, after experiencing the config in a Porsche. Dan Clarke provided his coaching and led a track walk to help students with his insights. Also change from the hard left “added curbing” at 7 to the track limit curbing for more of a sweeper. Changed the whole nature of 7/8/9 combo.
IMS, USAC, & Yellow Shirts kept us safe and made for a fun event at the Brickyard!
