I have it on good authority that the new owners plan on installing deer fencing around the race track. Stay tuned for timing.

Does anybody have any experience with the new pavement as it relates to tire wear/degradation?

I'm just one of those snowflakes driving around in a DE but I have 10+ days on the new surface and I'm not experiencing increased tire wear (which is a different question than degradation, I know). If anything, tires are lasting a little longer despite me going faster this year compared to before the repave.
Tangentially related, I would be very surprised if the PCA track records don't fall if the conditions are dry, regardless of the rest of the weather conditions. Track is faster.

I'll probably come out on Thursday or Friday to spectate.
Also, if anyone happens to need some parts/tires/wheels, let me know. I have several parts I am not going to be using anytime soon. They are from a SP996 911, but might still fit your car.
Just an example of what I have:
-18" OZ Alleggerita wheels (practically brand new) in gunmetal gray with used Hoosier R7 tires.
-Set of Carrera 2 5-spoke OEM 2002-2005 wheels in fantastic shape (can't find a blemish on them) with brand new Hoosier R7's in SP996 sizes
-Brand new set of Hoosier R7 tires in SP996 sizes
-Brand new set of Hoosier rain tires
-Brand new 996 Sachs clutch kit
-Brand new AOS
-LN Engineering IMS bearing - brand new
-997 shifter kit
Another idea for those who are doing the Thursday practice day, if you don't want to use your good tires for your non-competitive lapping, you can use my OZ Alleggerita wheels with the used Hoosier R7 tires. Just pay for the tires. We can work out a fair price.
I also have used PFC track pads with lots of life on them. Perfect for test and tuning days.

Really wish I could make it...going to Napa then on to Rennsport Reunion immediately after the Summit race weekend...can’t do it all. Had a blast there last year as my first race in Vintage group. Fun track, great hosts.
