I've been to eight F1 weekends and suggest you find seats across from the paddock. The pre-race preperations, the race start, pit stops and end of race ceremonies make up the majority of the action for race day. Bring a nice pair of binoculars and a zoom lens for your camera. The on track action is great but that's best watched from your couch at home. That being said, if you can find seats across from the paddock with a decent view of a large screen you'll have best of both worlds.

Sat pretty much everywhere, exit of the hairpin is my favorite - as low as possible.
Access to lots of heavy braking, some passing, a big screen with telemetry. Also right next to the secondary pits for all the support races which are open for viewing, meeting and talking to drivers and mechanics. No way you'll make a return trek there is you're sitting at the early corner complex - though they are great seats too, if a bit isolated to get to.
Cheers
