Man you guys know how to thrash and trash a car. Love it but don’t look to me when you want to take mine for a few laps.

I just want an honest opinion on how it handles on the track when driven hard! It is lighter than a spec boxster and it has more HP, so it should be fun.

Enjoy!

I have not heard a positive review of it on track. Recently, I heard the original Stig call it terrible.

Really? On the contrary I have heard positive reviews........

Do you have any links to the Stig comment?

In the meanwhile, we have to wait for Sir5n's track review.....

All of the (5-6) video reviews I have watched say it's a great car on track..

An Exige S 220 just ran 2:24 at COTA which is a power track. That's on par/faster than most GT4's on Hoosiers. I'd love to see a 4C run anywhere near that.
Hey that's me! 2:23 in practice and there's more there too depending which track limits we are using.

My bad, he was talking about the 8C. The Everyday Driver guys had one at the Ring and Spa and found it to be disconcerting to drive. I've heard others say at 8/10ths on mountain roads, it fun. Pushing the limits is where it gets spooky.

I always hesitate a bit on which journalist or owner comments about the near-the-limit handling characteristics of mid-engine cars should be trusted. A lot of folks simply seem uncomfortable with the fact that for nearly any mid-engine car you’ll need fast hands to catch a slide. Some of them actually call that a handling problem. Of course others understand that characteristic full well and just don’t think the handling of the car is up to snuff. The former is a bit of a misinterpretation but the latter criticism can be constructive.

I come from racing mid-engine cars 1st. Now I race a dumbbell corvetteZ06 with similar power. I think you are right. In fact people always think I am nuts for saying I'm faster in the dumbbell than a mid-engine car. The slower responding chassis gives me confidence to push harder. That's where my driving is today. Maybe I will learn to be up to the challenge of the mid-engine chassis but I'm old...like time for your 2nd colonoscopy old. I'm waiting for the C8 mid-engine vette as my next racecar but will be quick to buy the last new C7 dumbbell if my suspicions are true that I'm still not quite up to it.

Great color combo. I bet a red cloth top like the 991 Targa would look amazing against the red seats. Those wheels are truly a work of art, they have to be seen in person to appreciate how unique they are.
I wish more cars were available with a proper targa top like these. Heck, I'm half tempted by a C7 just for the targa roof.
