Max takes out everyone before turn 1, except Hartley, and he cruises to his first win.
If that doesn't happen -
Bottas
Vettel
Hammy

I can narrow it down to six drivers, but can't totally rule out a few more.

Even if allowances for different set ups and programs are taken into account, that's a lot of time! Unfortunately $1.5B > 1.5 sec.

I voted for my boy Alonso! McLaren said they are brining a big package to Spain!
Clearly - I am not delusional the above has become a painful joke for us Alonso fans.

Not the first to bring a Big Package to the track and be disappointed...
Great season so far, glad to be back on the continent, but this track hasn't delivered good races in recent memory at least.
Cheers

Hamilton. Spain always rewards quali positions and Mercedes effectively have a custom tire just for them. Summary of the facts:
- Mercedes FRIC (Front and Rear Inter-Connected) suspension was banned
- They no longer could ride the curbs and manage tires as well
- They instead redesigned a longer wheelbase which turned the car into a "diva".
- Ultimately learned enough to win the championship (tip of the cap)
- Winter testing was unusually cold and Mercedes looks dominant
- Regular season comes around and the warmer weather sees Mercedes being too hard on the softer compound of tires
- Mercedes politics (just like Ferrari used to play but this time Mercedes has a Ferrari size budget and more road cars that Pirelli can shoe with their brand of rubber)
- There's suddenly a new compound of super soft tire that no one understands in quali, but Mercedes seem to have a pretty good grasp on things
- You can't pass on this track
- Hamilton is faster than Bottas

I have to agree... Mercedes have one upped everyone to the point where they lobbied the spec tire to be changed to a thinner carcass and it's favored them tremendously. A logical person would argue that if the tires were overheating in winter testing at Barcelona, you can't make the assumption they would overheat at Silverstone or Paul Ricard just because the latter have repaved their circuits -- no one has tested there, so how would you know?
Why not bring harder compound tires to Barcelona rather than shave the softer compounds? It makes no sense, aside from benefitting Mercedes to be dominate again.
After a great start to the F1 season where there is actually competition and three different teams winning 4 different races, I'm afraid tomorrows race has already been decided as the last 24 of 27 races have been won from the front row starters.
