I’ve been racing for a long time with PCA and this might be my new favorite event. It’s certainly up there with the special feel you get at Road America. The amenities are insanely nice, and the track, while tight, is very challenging and fun.

Thought the driving was exceptionally courteous all weekend, and folks were very aware. Was sorry to see Spencer have an issue in the enduro; he was flying all weekend!

Starting from the back in Sprint 2 made it more fun. I tried not to break up any of the in class battles; hopefully I was successful. In the enduro, Todd Lamb and I both somehow missed the grid, which was odd since we were there a a good 9 mins before the race start. It was no biggie, as it gave me a chance to work thru some traffic; you can’t event work on your passing skills enough.

PS showers were awesome to have!

PPS did anyone else see the turtle crawling across T2? That was an odd moment.

I missed the turtle! There was also what I think was a dead groundhog on track toward the end of the enduro between 5&6 after start/finish...!

All around a great weekend. The MMC staff is exceptionally courteous and helpful, so a huge shout out to Alex and his team. Would also like to thank Hoosier Tires and Hawk Brakes for their sponsorship.

The turtle was huge, as was some of the rubber marbles.

What an exceptional event - thanks to all the workers and volunteers. PCA generally sets the bar pretty high in terms of the driver experience off track, but Monticello/PCA take it to the next level for this event. Excellent food, fun track, and a great atmosphere! This is going on our MUST DO list for 2019.

Congrats to our Spec Boxster client Topher Everett for the sweep on the weekend. He has come a long way since I started coaching him and the 6 month hiatus must have added a little motivation to come back strong.

We shook down the Spec Cayman after some maintenance and setup changes post-Road Atlanta. I think the car is pretty close to perfection but there are a few little things we still want to do, and one of them will be getting the Cool Shirt to work and adding some NACA ducts.

Actually, your drifts out of T18 were quite entertaining. I think you need to buy some tires sometime.

Haha,
Zero $ spent on tires.
Second Sprint was 10th hc and they were corded 😂.
One set of fancy pirelli tires is my budget for full season (5weekend) of AER AND ABOUT 100+ race hours.
