Default NJMP tracks for IRacing.....

Just got my first Sim a few weeks ago and am loving it. It was built by a member here on RL for me from scratch.

Not the most professional Sim you can get, but the price point was awesome and the whole sim works great. I have spent hours on it without even knowing how much time I am spending on it. (Get on after dinner, and before I know it, it's midnight.)

Along with the tracks the package came with, so far I've purchased WGI and VIR.

LRP and about 10 other tracks are free with the initial membership.

I also wanted to buy NJMP Lightning and Thunderbolt but alas, they are not available tracks for sale through IRacing. I was told this was a licensing issue with IRacing and NJMP. Kinda disappointed as I'd really like those 2 Jersey tracks to run on my new Sim.

They are not available from IRacing.

Does anyone here know how I can get Thunderbolt and Lightning for IRacing? (It can be a bootleg or pirated version, I don't really care at this point (not that i condone that sort of thing, but I want those 2 tracks).

Any suggestions from you IRacing folks on here as to how to get Thunderbolt and Lightning for my IRacing Sim?

Thanks,

DGrobs

Thunderbolt is available as a tech track on iRacing. Fully functional but graphics are not completed.

Thunderbolt IS available as a development track. Lightning has not been scanned.

No chance for scratchbuilt tracks to be added in that locked platform, which is why rFactor 2, AC, Project Cars 2 are popular for tracks and cars not included or available in iRacing.

Got it. Thanks. I saw Thunder as a tech track.
Maybe someday IRacing will offer both of them in fully functional versions with graphics.
Those are my home tracks for the most part, so I was kinda hoping to have them on my sim.
Mostly been testing on LRP, WGI, and VIR. Tons of fun.

Doubtful that they will finish the tracks

If you want to practice lightning, you can install the track on assetto corsa.

Assetto Corsa is an Italian made sim available through Steam that has open-source tracks and cars built by people other than the makers of the sim.

It's really good.

You can get Thunderbolt on iRacing without all the artwork (most trees, some buildings), but the curbs, the track and the way it drives is the same as the others.

You cannot get Lightning on iRacing.

Thanks Coach. That's what I thought.
Is it a licensing issue or something else that prevents Thunderbolt and Lightning from being available in full form on IRacing? Do you know?

There's nothing wrong with the T-bolt track in iRacing. The trees don't do anything for you since they aren't scanned and don't provide landmarks anyway.

There are a bunch of visual marks that I have used at Thunderbolt, including buildings, bleachers, flag stations, and the like.

I will buy the IRacing version regardless, but the visuals, whether straight on or peripheral, are helpful to me when on the track. I am not good enough yet to just use the track itself as my guide 100% of the time and I haven't driven it enough yet to go 100% from memory.

I will buy it regardless. Thanks for the input.
