Is there a good book out there on race car wiring and electrical systems?

I'm looking for something out there to help sift through the thousands of options on wire choice, plugs, switches, relays, fuses, breakers, routing, etc. I've seen some crazy builds using solid state power supplies with touch screens as well.

Given the number of cars I've seen sidelined with electrical problems, I have to think many people make mistakes with their electrical systems. I don't want to be one of those with a dead car in the paddock.

I haven't seen a good book on it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I would suggest some Instagram research. There are some great photos of really good wiring on there. First stop would be Racespec.

Also look into buying from quality places and you'll have a good start. Places like Racespec, Prowire, and milspecwiring.com are great starts.
