I own a newer race keeper HDX. Another friend of mine has the same unit. Both have stopped recording. When Steve was with the company support was fantastic. Steve is no longer with the company. Support seems to not exist. Since then I have sent Trivinci emails and left phone calls. No one returns the call nor emails. Anyone know what the problem may be with the units or better yet. Whats going on at Trivinci systems (race keeper).

Angus is still there, but as a dealer I am in the same boat. Steve got me into it and unfortunately, my experience parallels yours. I miss him...
I would reach out to the UK and see what can be done.

My experience was similar... Bought a car with the system already installed. Power cord was cracked. Called and emailed, no response. Ended up gluing the power cord end back together to get it to work...
As a side note, any idea where I can get the software to run it? I am not the original registered owner. System is about 5+ years old.

I am the other friend. I hear you on transitioning to AIM - it works quite well in my SPB. It would suck however to throw an almost $3000 investment in the trash...

Don’t care how much it costs, if it doesn’t work.
Honestly, I’ve sold a handful of Race-Keeper systems over the last seven years, a fraction of my other lines. Every one was more trouble than it was worth, but I know shops and users that swear by them. The HDX2 had promise, but the bulky form factor and the firmware teething troubles, as well as cooling problems, really hurt it.
Now, without Steve, who was the only visible and credible point of contact, it’s not something I can recommend anymore.

I hear you, but people did that with early computers and plasma TV’s... It’s technology.

Was one of your customers Team Stradale in Joliet Illinois? They had 20-25 or so bmw z3 they used for their driving school, seems each was equipped with the system. They were using it more so for video promo for the company, and momento's for students... They are selling all their school cars, and flipping to the new miatas I believe... Not sure what system they plan to use in those. May be a good sales lead for you.

I sent one back last year that got lost in the transition from Steve (honestly Steve lost it after sent back). The new people and the president were a little hard to reach but i will say that once they engaged, they were very professional in resolving the issue. With the help from Steve we transitioned to the VBOX HD2 and we are never looking back.
