Was there today. Correctiont: I timed gene at a slow 1:08 later he did a 1:01. Was not me!

good lord gene gene was flying, and the sound echoing way before the cars come around.,, amazing

Wow...Well, It's been a while since I've been there with REALLY fast cars going round. I'm more used to seeing motorcycle lap times.

I've done some fast laps on my old street / track 2004 Yamaha R1, but not in a car (yet).

My 1:32.0 feels slow compared to that.

I guess i will shave some time this year with the new pavement.

It was truly awesome to watch Marc Gene lapping in the 15 year old F1 Ferrari. Check out his braking points on the instagram video, bearing in mind his approach speed! Also, the sound in the video doesn't do justice to the banshee wail heard by the spectators. The percussive 'bang' of the gear shifts made me wince. A day to be remembered.

The sounds echoing around the track literally 20-30 seconds before they arrived at T12....bouncing off the walls in our building with the doors open. Just so very cool. What an epic and memorable two days!
