Peter, I see that Gavin has made you a believer... though note that not all have made the jump.

For the rest of us, PCCB is dumb unless you like spending $20,000-27,000 for complete brake change. If you have money to burn, go for it. Otherwise, there are many brake compounds that stop better.

And depending on the application (350mm, German), steel slotted rotors are $120 each...

Just food for thought.

Best,

Matt

To be fair, I would think ST rotors were great too if they were given to me for free...wink wink!!

Porsche Supercup teams are running ceramics although, might not be same as street rotors.

My 2010 GT3 has stock PCCB. I tried steel. Steel sucks compared to PCCB. I have many laps (thousands) on the PCCB racing in PCA. Nothing better.
Cost? No much different because I don't have to keep changing my rotors. It's been years since I changed rotors. Yes, years.
Thank you to all the guys that switched to steel and sold me their used PCCB rotors at a fraction of new price.

warm up, same as steel. Cool down, don't know, I never bother.

Cool down is even more important as the PCCB can actually catch fire, that is unless you really are not hard breaking to much at the track.
