I would like to fabricate a center console for my SP2 race car to mount a switch panel and additional gauges. I am looking to do something like the attached photo.

Any recommendations on what material would w


Any recommendations on what would work and the best way to mount it to the center console? I am considering an aluminum panel and sheet metal screws but don't know if there are more appropriate materials out there.

Could be sheet metal, a sheet of carbon, ABS, etc. It's really whatever you want to use. I would think for most people sheet metal would be the easiest to work with.
