Default AiM MXm not released but displayed at PRI

It was great to see this unit today. Very nice, great size, analog inputs with CAN connection like a Solo DL. I think this is going to be really popular when it's available. Projected delivery is February.

Price range? Is this a standalone unit?

I think it's also great for new cars with robust CAN feeds. Now you can add a few analog channels, have shift lights, and a great display.

It is a standalone unit.

Price is supposed to be around $999. I'll confirm today.

It's stand alone with connection to a SCHD.

Comparison to a Solo 2 DL?
Larger screen?
Lack of Wifi?
Both support new data formats.
More digital I/O for non-modern ECU cars

Other?

Yes, four analog inputs (plus RPM), two CAN networks, slightly larger screen.

So, for someone that doesn’t need or want a big (MXL2/MXS/MXP/MXG) display logger, this is the ticket.

Any difference in how the Solo 2 addresses Autocross (point to point) setup?
The Solo has battery power and the 'walk to the start' then 'walk to the finish' way to set endpoints.

Will this accept external sensors not over CAN? Such as brake pressure on a 986?

How does that compare size wise to the Solo DL?

Yes, that is what I think makes this such a great unit.

Yes, the MXm is ideal for older and hybrid (combined CAN/analog) sensor cars.

i can see this as a perfect SPB/SM device.

Two cameras...

And they need to get ONE video window going in the data window first.

Still in development. I heard a few things, but nothing I would quote yet.
