What does an F1 driver actually look at
Apologies if this is a re post. I watched about a year ago and would appreciate everyone's input.

Thanks, vision IS everything.
I'm a tug boat Captain and use this way of looking 'through' everyday in oder to determine where I'm 'actually' going through bridges with barges.
It might seem strange but I kind of look and blur paying more attention to my periferral vision.
I don't have a but sensor on the Tug.
No one has to convince me how important eyes are and where to look is.

What I also think is cool about this video is when he goes from the pit to the track he automatically checks his mirror for traffic. He is the only one on track yet he looks anyway out of habit.
Would be nice if everyone had that habit!

There was a video of Vettel and Webber going through the same corner. The camera clearly shows where each driver was looking. Webber was looking in a similar mannar as Nico in the OP's video. Vettel was looking MUCH further ahead. Vettel was looking at the exit of the corner as he was entering the corner. Webber was looking at the apex. The narrator was doing a comparison of their vision and focus and compared their lap times. I do like Vettel, I look for my exit as I am entering; the apex is in my peripheral.

They should set up that eye tracking camera on a soccer mom in a 6000 pound SUV.
