Default R-compound storage?

Since winter heating season is here, my usual "perfect" dark, cool storage space in the basement next to the furnace is now pretty warm (75 or so degrees). My other choice is outside in a dry, dark, storage shed (unheated, will occasionally go below freezing for a few days).

Question is, which one to use to get the most mileage out of my RA-1's?

I'd think you want to keep them inside. 75 degrees isn't anywhere near how hot they'd get on the track, and I would think that freezing may dry them out and make them quite hard. All I've ever heard is to keep them covered from UV light.

Mine are in the basement too. Its not 75 degrees, but its much warmer than the garage. Have 3 sets stacked up on boards and boxes off of the cold concrete floor. Buy "contractor" sized trash bags and you can cover a stack of 4 tires easily for UV protection.

My buddy who works for Michelin said this was good enough for MPSC's
