Mark,

I have an 87 911 and have both 17 and 18 " Fikses. To make a long story short, I got one set of Fikse 17s first and then got two sets of Fikse 18s at a good price. As you know, with Hoosiers, you need two sets of rims.

There is not that much of a difference. The 18s may feel better, but they are not going to give you much in terms of increased lap times. Bigger b-lls is the real difference.

Also, by visual inspection (ask me how I know) the rolling diameter of the Hoosiers for 17" is actually greater that the 18". I am running 9" rims in the rear.

Let me know if you need more info.

John
