There is definitely room still to attend this event for those on the fence. Lots of driving at this event and the expertise of VR on hand to do a track walk and potentially some coaching

I would go but I am still a "blue" driver in most PCA regions that I run with, although I have solo'd many many times, but I am not yet an advanced driver (Red, Black, or White.) I would be there in a heartbeat if I was.
Have fun and be safe to those who are going. Looks like lots of track time for you folks who are going. Enjoy and be safe.

Signed up but had to cancel, my car is still not ready...still at Bodymotion getting put back together! Frustrating beyond imagination. Would have loved the track walk and a chance at some VR high quality coaching...

^ Thanks VR, it's frustrating. The delay is due to one specific part back-ordered from Germany (it's been going on 6 weeks now...

Matt it's been agonizing! I missed our regular Watkins Glen event at the end of July and I was hoping to make the mid-Sept Advanced Group event but the car is still out of commission...the 991.2 GT3 can't get here soon enough.

I'm #3 on the list at a P-dealer (slated for Spring 2018 delivery on the next batch of allocations). I opted for the Euro Delivery so I'll be picking up the car in Leipzig next Spring, hopefully warm enough for a run on the 'Ring and Spa before it's shipped stateside for our season opener at Lime Rock Park!!

Sounds like a GREAT plan!

That's all it is for now Peter, a plan. There are so many variables to consider such as, (i) the games dealers play with GT3 allocations (well documented on the GT3 forum), (ii) Porsche sticking to the build/delivery schedule (Sept 2017 builds were pushed back by one month to October, I may end up in a Summer delivery or later...LOL) and (iii) good weather in Spring 2018 (if all goes well) to make runs on the 'Ring and Spa memorable!

I was reminded today that these are truly 1st world problems considering what some of our fellow countrymen/women are going through, in the aftermath of Harvey & Irma!!

Great event perfect weather almost too much track time and incident free.

Thanks again Dave for pushing me past the uncertainty I was feeling holding me back from pushing past it. A few changes and we will see how it handles at Lightning soon. BTW several people said they noticed the back end doing strange things especially going into the bus stop so hopefully some additional toe in at the rear is going to make a difference.

Well worth the investment in having you sit in my passenger seat.

BTW Matt hope your feeling better.

Yeah a really nice event...super weather.

Got out of hospital yesterday. This is going to be a long road to recovery.

Thanks for the well wishes. I had a bunch of photos sent to me from the event and it really looked like a great event. Bummed I missed it, but being on track is going to be very secondary for me for a while.

I can’t wait for 2017 to be over. It’s been a bad year for me and health.
