FWIW, I downshift while under HARD braking for T1 into 3rd, then go to 2nd if a car is in front of me and I am anticipating a pass between T2/T3.

Same for T10 - Downshift to 3rd with a quick "stab" at the brakes and back on it...4th if I'm "in the groove", tires are grabbing, driving is coherent, etc.

That is...in my C2...of course - the Toyota?? ...that's a whole nuther story.

ok thanks, that is about what I thought. 4th in 10 boggs me down just a bit in my 964, I might be able to carry more speed into it with more practice.
