Very disappointing - if true. I have no interest in Formula E.

Dieselgate aftershocks continue.

Agree, zero interest in Formula RE (Remote Emissions).

Same deal as Mercedes leaving DTM...

Multiple large EU countries have announced no more ICE after 2040. These companies are using F E to drive research and brand recognition to be well positioned for this new reality....

What is it that they couldn't learn about electrification in LMP1 that they're going to pick up in Formula E? Or is it the same thing but Formula E is less expensive?

It's not about learning anything about electrification. Formula E costs a small fraction of what a prototype, DTM, or world rally program costs. It's just about making more $$ and trying to keep up the appearance that you care about motorsports and the environment.

Toyota will soon follow, they aren't interested in racing alone. So now the IMSA DPi class is more advanced and viable than the top cars at Lemans and WEC. Too bad the ACO and IMSA couldn't figure out a way to allow the DPi cars to cross over and compete.

FE is where it will be, we need to get used to it...At the end of the day, racing is racing and I am sure the tech involved will start to get real interesting over the next few years...I am willing to give it a look and reserve judgement until I have watched it for a season.

Wasn't there a report this month that suggested that the exit from LMP1 might open up an entrance to F1 as an engine provider. There have been pretty definitive reports of Porsche attending power plant builder meetings with F1.

Before we get too worked up about Formula Coal, let's see what happens.

I was excited for Formula E but in its present form it is mundane at best and the racing is **** poor despite some of the big names in the field.
When your pitstop is used for you to climb into another car for the second half of the race, there is something very wrong.

Maybe it will evolve but right now it is as exciting as watching bumper cars.

It is extremely boring when playing on Forza as well.
