Three Wheelin'
tahts me on track at mmc. i think i nailed a curbing once and then not again!!<G> and, the pedal box was super tiny weenie. it was a good hour of driving but back to the warehouse it went. and that's why i sold it.
as awesome as it was, i like to thrash them and not maintain art pieces though what an incredible art piece it was!

Race Car
Thank you very much
So, I suppose that your car was the one registered BB-GT 196.
I think that wp0zzz99zvs396001 was the other white car with the temporary registration S-061008 and then S-CR 1360.
6001 had the same front body as a race car, with provision for additionnal lights.
6002 hasn't them.
A friend of mine owns wp0zzz99zws396018, a "regular" production car but I still need to find the right opportunity to inspect it.
I love these cars since I have seen them on the street in LM

Less green than a Cedar Green 993, though
Very admirable you took it to the track! How cool. I remember the article too.

I don't know if it is the same. There is mention of the yellow-then-painted-blue GT1 here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1595400
It appears to have a black interior (from youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0uFXirtEXo):

Burning Brakes
it was imported by the previous owner under show and display if i recall. and then somewhere int here, they got that 'removed'?? if i recall. ill look at my paperwork and see if i can find any.
there was a series of books covering the 993 gT1s and 996GT1s. was great. i had two copies of . very rare and great stuff.
crazy, in googling some stuff, ran into this video. never really knew exactly who bought it or where it ended up. there was a big fancy brokeraeg firm from the UK that handled everything. flew over 2 guys to inspect. spent 2 hours going thru the car. flew back. got a call an hour later, they forgot to snap the engine serial #. flew back the 2 that night...walked in, took 10 photos and was gone 10 minutes later, flying home. wired money next day.
anyway, crazy i ran into this video. you can se ethe GT1 and even more wild, he has those GT1 Race car spares, doors, hood, on the wall, u can see them on the ground in my photos... flashback.
but thats like remembering when you owned yahoo at 6 cents a share 15 years ago.... better to just rremember the fond stuff and move on.
was a fun car. took it on track twice. handled like a fat cat 911. a real prototype of a prototype.

Race Director
I owned 1 of the 2 993 Strassenversions. RIck Deman from Deman Motorsports did a boatload of great work in securing the car, and then overhauling the car, motor, etc. i only owned it for 2,3 years. it was sold to a gent in AbuDhabi who built the F1 track. was fantastic to own but like way way too much car, too risky to drive around. there were some race 993 GT1s, Rohr had one. i had his 993 GT2 EVO race car,a nd then was able to secure some bodywork, doors, hood from his old GT1 race car which literally was found in a barn. the guy who found it had no idea what it all was. i think i paid like 6k for 2 doors, hood, rear decklid and front undertray.
miss that car. if anyone needs info on those 993 GT1s feel free to PM me or deman.
It was written up in Excellence.
I had posted a few photos of it here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskXLZP9u

Hi,
I'm looking for some info about our ex car.
Can you maybe PM me? Or post it here.
I tried, but was not possible yet.
I would like to know the condition of the car when you sold it, what DeMan did to the car during the restoration, how many miles it had...
Thanks! Great car!!
