That's an extremely yellow-tinted version of Grand Prix White...

Here is the Monaco commission for sale with 5000 miles.

Edward Lovett's (former?) car. Seems strange that DK's selling it, and EL isn't selling it himself, or through one of the Dick Lovett dealerships.

Nothing to compare about the two reviews.

Thanks! It has been built by a small shop outside Paris. Great quality and attention to detail. I'm going to visit Emory at the beginning of December so will be able to compare. I do still think Rod is THE benchmark for anything related to Outlaw 356s.

Maxt is it possible to upload a photo or two of your 356?

Thanks

Felt it was about time for a quick update on my Singer adventure!
As some of you may know, the car went back to California at the beginning of the month for some upgrades...being one of the very first cars it was fitted with the Cosworth 3.8 engine, which is great but lack some torque at the low end. The "new" 4.0 from Ed Pink should solve the issue while giving me around 50hp more. While there, they will also update all the small bits and pieces that have changed during the evolution of the project, delete the sunroof with the addition of a CF roof, changing the interior with the removal of the carpet and addition of the "Jacuzzi" body painted panels and many other small details that will help me tailoring the car closer to my taste.
The opportunity of having my car there was too good to miss, so booked myself a ticket to go and spend a week driving the car around Cali, meeting amazing people and visiting the best shops ever...Rod Emory, Magnus, Singer, you name it!
It was an amazing time, one of the best car related week I could remember...drove more than 1000 miles through deserts, mountain roads, canyons. I saw sea, snow, sand, all in one day. I met incredible new and old friends, breathed gasoline and exhaust gases for 12 hrs every day, arriving all smelly and knackered to the hotel each evening under the snobby and slightly puzzled looks of the posh crowd of Beverly Hills, I ended up seeing two incredible car collections in the most unexpected locations...I think you got the idea!
Well, enough of talking, let me share some pics of the trip...was lucky enough to have a friend tagging along who happens to be a car journalist/photographer, the below are a tiny selection of the hundreds of pictures he shot in a week!

Picking up the car at Singer

First stop, had to be a souvenir picture below the Hollywood sign...

We had to check Mulholland Dr...everyone raving about it so had to be done! Must have driven the wrong bit of it as it was the least exciting road we drove during the week there, but cool thing nonetheless!

We drove Angeles Crest every day...loved that stretch of road to bits, and of course it was iconic for me as I've always seen Emory's and Singer's pictures being taken there

Taking a left off Angeles Crest, we ended up in an even more incredible road, Upper Big Tujunga Canyon...we drove something like 30 miles without seeing a living soul... to take some of those pictures we were in the middle of the road for 30 minutes and only a bike passed by! Paradise!!!

The Singer parked in front of some quite famous metal...

Magnus mentioned about a desert where you could buy a ticket and spend the whole day doing whatever you wanted with no limits whatsoever...felt only right to go and check it out!! First stop in the Mojave...it was bloody freezing in the early morning, around 30 degrees Fahrenheit at 7.30am, big change from LA!!

El Mirage Lake...amazing place!!

Temptation to take this shot was too big obviously!

Probably the smelliest car ever to be parketd in front of our hotel!

Jet lag was a real bitch...but gave us the opportunity to take some pics with a deserted city!

Incredible! Thank you for sharing.
Ah, if only Porsche made modern air cooled engines.
I’m really not a fan of the current turbos.
