I keep leaning towards buying a singer over and over...just can't be pushed over the edge

Two friends recently took delivery and are both disappointed with build quality. Multiple leaking lines (yes from factory), loose brackets, QC oversights of all sorts...

"Everything Is Important" is more talk than walk these days.

Yep...exactly the kind of thing I was worried about for that kind of coin...especially as they are on the wrong coast

At the end of the day these are 100% handcrafted so I guess you could have some rare surprise here and there.

The important bit is the fact their after sales dept is second to none...

An example: my car had a damaged wheel on a Sunday night (don't ask, left it parked and found it with the rear wheel almost destroyed and no other damages, still trying to figure out what happened!!). Well by Wednesday a new wheel arrived from California to London...After a few days I noticed the finishing on the new wheel was a bit different from the others so I inquired about who would have been able to match all the wheels...the following week I received 4 new wheels all matching and they took back in exchange my old ones, all free of charge and without me even asking!!! Considering I bought the car in the secondary market I thought their way of dealing with this was amazing!

While its possible for any car to have issues straight from the factory Singer has gone over the top in rectifying any issues or updates for my cars. One month ago they flew a service tech in to replace an ignition switch and then he updated and tweaked a couple other items.

On other occassions they work directly with my local dealer supplying parts and paying for updates.

They are a first class outfit that makes things right and go beyond what I expect and certainly what I receive from ANY manufacturer.

Just last Tuesday I was at Laguna Seca and thrashed one of my Singers very hard for over 100 miles on the track and it stood up without a bit of yielding.

These are great cars.

absolutely gorgeous man!!!! Would have been fun to have you at the track day at Laguna during Monterey car week but it looks like you're having PLENTY of fun...

And the guys at Singer have epic post customer relations as far as I've seen when something goes wrong. Granted people will complain about anything but for something totally bespoke and handmade, they definitely do their best and at least by me have been out of this world hospitable.

Let's face it, most Americans are sloppy and love cutting corners. (Build) quality generally is not good, with few exceptions of course. Historically the Brits haven not been much better.
I was just looking at some videos about the new Conti GT, its heritage, quality and design, and each guy had a German accent.....

BTW, any Singer is on the top of my all-time dream cars.
