Default Porsche 918 Owners - Are you interested in a 19"/20" Track Wheel?

At HRE Wheels we're always trying to evolve and bring our clients the best wheels in the world, and today we're looking for your help! We would like to gauge your interest in a new designed wheel, the R101LW for track purposes. The advantage here would be that we can design a wheel set which has a 19" front and 20" rear fitment, which would allow for better tire choices and allow us to build a lighter wheel thanks to the smaller diameter. Here are a few photos of the R101LW (Set was built for a Nissan GTR):

Below is a list of current R101LW Wheels that we have brought to market already, including sizing and weights. I wanted to put a few examples on this thread just to show the incredible weight savings of the R101LW:

BMW M2 - F: 16.6 lbs | R: 17.2 lbs (19x9.5 / 19x10.5)
BMW M3/M4 - F: 16.7 lbs | R: 17.6 (19x9.5 / 19x11)
BMW M3/M4 - F: 17.2 lbs | R: 18.2 lbs (20x9.5 / 20x11)
Lamborghini Huracan - F: 17.8 lbs | R: 20.0 lbs (20x8.5 / 20x11)
Lamborghini Huracan - R: 22.2 lbs (Optional Rear 21x12.5)
Nissan GTR - F: 19.6 lbs | R: 21.7 lbs (20x10.5 / 20x12.5)
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - F: 18.4 lbs | R: 23.5 lbs (20x9.5 / 21x12.5)
Audi R8 - F: 17.8 lbs | R: 22.2 lbs (20x8.5 / 21x12.5)
Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 - F: 18.0 lbs | R: 19.4 lbs (19x10.5 / 19x12)
Porsche 911 - F: 16.2 lbs | R: 19.4 lbs (20x9 / 20x12)
Porsche Cayman GT4 - F: 16.0 lbs | R: 19.4 lbs (20x8.5 / 20x11)

With that said, I have added a poll to the thread with three choices. If you're a 918 owner, please let us know how you feel and if you would like to elaborate, please don't hesitate to comment on this thread, we would love your feedback!

Did you forget we had trouble with clearance in the rear for 20" wheels? Unless of course these have a bigger barrel diameter than the P101.

BTW, I just received my set yesterday, looks good!

You're absolutely right, but the R101LW uses a different forging which allows for more clearance just as you say.

Glad you got your set safely! Looking forward to seeing some photos when you have time!
