Wow--spectacular job, atiquester! I'm a big fan of your 918! Can you please let us know more about the process of getting this approved, and the design work and your decisions when building this car? I'd love to hear the back story from your perspective!

Hi. There is a nice story as to how we got the approvals and permissions to re create the winning car from the 1970s.
After weeks and weeks of denials ... Notifications that we could not build the car due to the lack permissions and licensing rights ... I got in touch with various organizations and leadership teams there to get the approvals.
Exclusivity was key so it was yet even more difficult to achieve the approvals. I'm glad after a period of like 6 months we revived the approvals and Germnay started the build process.
Sounds like a lot of work and red tape to go through, but I'm sure you must feel it was worth it now! Can you divulge who at PAG you had to get on board with this project, and how the translation from 917 to 918 took place (assuming you had access to the 917)? Were you involved in the design phase, or was this controlled by Porsche and/or Gulf? I'd love to hear more detail if you're willing to share the story. Thanks again!
Not sure if this is a proper question to ask here, but I noticed how crisp and clear the pictures are- What camera/lens was used to take the pictures? Probably the best pictures I've seen on this car yet!
