Finally some pics
Hey everyone, sorry for the long delay after my original delivery thread, but thought I would finally post some pics of my car. As some of you may recall, I picked up a gloss black CGT with 18XX miles last summer. Perfect car with up-to-date service (including major/valves), full clutch, complete luggage etc. It's been my dream car for the last 10 years, and I still have a hard time believing I own this work of art and engineering genius.
These pics are after a 20+ hour detail and clear film install covering the entire car. Although I had originally posted that I wasn't going to cover the engine lid, I ultimately decided to do so after testing how hot it got when heat-soaked. The answer is not hot enough to cause film problems. The only area you really have to avoid is the panel that houses the muffler vent (under the wing). Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of the install itself.
I also had custom front radiator grills fabricated using materials and a design from Porsche Centre Reading. You can see them in some of the photos. They look fantastic and should do a good job protecting the radiators from damage from road debris. The car already had grills installed behind the front wheel-wells, so the door paint was thankfully immaculate for install of the clear film.
I got the film and grills done because I plan to drive the crap out of this amazing beast! So after that it was just a matter of switching to the Supersport tires and enjoying the car. The driving experience? Well, what can I say that hasn't already been covered here more artfully by others? Hands down the most exciting, demanding, and rewarding car I've ever driven. It will take a lifetime to explore its limits and capabilities, which is just fine since I intend to keep it forever. Oh, and on that note, I've been asked more than once whether I'm interested in selling at a large profit. And each time I haven’t even asked what's being offered...I just say no. #feelingfortunate

I love it! Thanks for sharing the pictures and your sentiments about your amazing new machine. It's great to know there are other enthusiasts that care more about the experience the car provides rather than it's investment potential. My advice is drive it as much as you can...as far away from the shopping malls as possible
Enjoy!

Stunning. Congratulations to you. Many happy, safe miles.
As others have said, let me tip my cap to you for actually driving this beauty. I'll probably never even ride in one, let alone drive one or own one so there's something very satisfying to me, as a car enthusiast, in knowing that someone is actually driving their CGT.
Again, congrat's.
