918man. Could you possibly find out what is the time frame for a PTS GT3RS? Also it would help to know how many they are planning to build. Appreciate in advance for any info you could share.

Called the dealer that did me a favor by selling me his only SVR RR - think he may be tired of me
500 coming to the US first dibs goes to the 918 buyers.
I don't understand why Porsche doesn't produce additional GT3RS - throw us poor CGT owners a bone.

In time Porsche will make enough to satisfy most people who wanted one.
Most dealers don't have actual allocations assigned outside of their 918 customers, Porsche is trying to nail down those first, and those orders will be mostly May launch production and June ones.
After the dust settle on the 918 guys, the production slot book will be opened to everyone else.
Late production cars are more desirable, there are more options opened up, and the early cars can be the beta testers. Unless of course some one really wants an early one to flip.
CGT is 10 years old, not many are still in original buyers' hands, there is no point for Porsche to 'throw' CGT owners a bone, Porsche didn't get a single cent off the secondary profit. That job is the dealers'.

Thanks.
Sounds like it's better to get the GT3RS after the 918 guys.
CGT's are yesterdays news - but there are none on e-bay or anywhere for sale yet there are 4 918's on e-bay alone and plenty more to ship. They are all at non dealers and if those got exported that P dealer is going to get dinged big.
All kidding aside the 918 is impressive especially vs every La La being recalled for potential fire - removing the entire body est 200 hours per car.

I was told they will do a paint to sample for me. They did not tell me how many they are building and they told me that the paint to sample would not delay the car "substantially". Whatever that means
