Not really. On the final few days of accepting orders, Porsche sold the final 25-30 builds in a matter of days.

Which means they couldn't sell prior - strong economy solves a lot of problems.

Be nice for the owners to enjoy / keep em vs flip em for profit that's how they should appreciate.

It's actually more like when the performance numbers came out from the press vs the P1, people's jaw dropped through the Earth's mantle and they hurried to grab the last of them

In what a dramatic way this whole project went through the years...

Supply & Demand

Cars still available ? No hurry, still thinking about it
Only 20 some cars left ? Oops better hurry
They're all gone ? I'll pay whatever, don't want to miss the party

Those numbers mean something no doubt - but at that point P1 was sold out so there was no one sitting on the fence.

The economy and recent rise of exotics played a role as well - all the sudden a CGT went from 350 - 550k and many dealers called CGT owners to make the switch or buy more palatable.

Hope they go up like the La Ferrari and P1 and the CGT goes to Enzo prices but after 500 or less miles Ring times didn't matter to the flippers and or opportunists.

I am a firm believer - tell a wealthy person what they can not have and they suddenly possess overwhelming desire.

Exact same thing happened with the P1 per those at McLarenlife forum. Even with only 375 versus Porsche's 918, they all say it was fairly easy to get a P1 slot for almost a year.
Now that they're all taken some have begun to pop up as pre-owned with asking prices in the $1.5-2M range. At least a few dealers apparently bought them on spec too thinking they could capitalize, I'm sure some Porsche dealers also did this with the 918.
General consensus in P1 world though is "too soon." Time will tell.

Here's a poor man's opinion : if you are wealthy enough to afford any of these cars you wouldn't/shouldn't...? care much whether they double or triple in price. These cars should be owned for enjoyment I suppose...if you want to make a profit you probably have other means on doing it and enjoy the cars rather than bubble wrapping them and waiting for them to go up.
Anyway,I hope I'm not offending anyone by expressing an opinion, but if I do,I apologize...it's just that the only thing I read on here is about prices...

Its great because the CGT will be worth more than the 918, a matter of time...

I think you dudes are describing human nature, not supply and demand.

When cars double triple - more feather dusters are sold.

I could start a thread on the prices of feather dusters
