Default lift labor??

apologies but i could not find this via search.

i was at the dealership getting my (lowly ) C2S looked at and we were talking the CGT. the svc rep mentioned an astonishing 4hrs of charge for labor just to get it on/off of a lift. can that be right? now, of course i know some dealers have a rep of being "stealers", and i've heard that it is an involved procedure to lift these things but...4hrs just in lift labor charges??

Jamie140 - that image is really really scary.

To get the CGT properly on a lift - you have to screw 4 special lift plates into the bottom, then tie the lift plates to the lift, so the car doesn't tip over when raised.
I can't imagine it takes nearly that long, but haven't tried it. Probably more the service manager just exaggerating some to make a point how everything takes longer and costs more for the CGT

30-45 minutes to put it on. 10-15 to take it down. Stealer for sure. Maybe he means an oil change? I've sat through a CGT oil change from start to finish, about 4 hours - and the tech was explaining things to me along the way, which I'm sure slowed him down.
