Default Improved CGT Clutch pack?

In the most recent issue of Evo they list their favorite supercars of all time. CGT is in there, and in the comments the article states that by now most CGTs will have had their clutch replaced with an improved pack from Porsche which has easier modulation.

Does anyone know what they are talking about?

I can post an excerpt tomorrow. You can get the issue on your iPad.

Might be the Sachs replacement clutch. I am not 100% certain thats it, but I have heard several times Sachs came out with a replacement clutch that you can drive more "normally."

Anyone else know anything about this?

This older thread makes mention of the Sachs replacement but no followup on how it behaved ..

It's a misunderstanding , there was a minor mod ( I think in the actuator ) after the first few hundred cars . All cars once clutch is changed have this now . Ignore .

from what I've been told all clutch replacements at this point are refurb units and you have to send your old one in to get one. I replaced mine a year or so ago and it drives the same as far as I can tell.

feel free to add or correct if I got bad info.

Over 8,700 miles and no clutch issues.
Check it every year and it is still well within guidelines.
Treat it right and it will last.
