Oh, and in case it wasn't obvious, there are very, very few CGT OWNERS THAT I TOTALLY RESPECT LIKE WTDOOM. It really comes down to passion and experience; I have got a lot of the former, but am galaxies behind in the latter.... And that's what gotta count -- experience. I seriously only trust comments from guys that actually own CGTs and have real experience with them (okay, the downfall is that is a naturally biased set -- well, probably the same biasness as me ). Too many posts here (for example) poo poo the 918 because they simply can never afford one -- too bad! But don't criticise something out of jealousy. For me, to buy one would be a stretch, but more importantly I only have time for one car and I know why I love my CGT so much -- well, it's gone way beyond a car. I do also admire many other cars and in appreciating them, I love my car even more.
When thinking about someone working on your CGT, in my opinion, you to find someone who is beyond experienced and technically competent, but also just marvels the your car. I got lucky here with a Swiss guy named Luciano. Beyond compare. Shows up at 8am in the morning an hour away from his workplace (after being notified at 7pm the night before) to jump start my depleted battery (another story).
Cheers,
Steve
