Default Carbon fiber Stain

The owner before me must have dropped some hot fluid, maybe oil on the top of the carbon fiber engine mount.

Everything in the engine bay looks immaculate ,and then their there's this quarter inch spot on the top.

I had originally thought it was a stain that was on the surface, but had buffed out just a bit, did not come off. Its Not on surface apparently .

It appears to be deeper or maybe the carbon fiber is discolored?

Does anybody know of anyone who has knowledge of how you would go about repairing such a defect ?

pretty sure it's clear damage under that area, but i don't think it's the carbon fiber. if you look closely there is yellowing under the stain

for the stain to outline the weave like it did it has to be at the carbon fiber-clear coat interface

not sure how this damage can come about

if i where you i'd live with it.... the damage might eventually spread and require a repair of the clear coat, but if perfection must be had now, you might have to re-apply the clear in that area anyway
