A little patience, some good advice, and practice should be all you need to improve your detailing skills. It's a lot of fun going through the process. Please let me know if there are any areas you'd like advice on.

Can you elaborate more on the tire cleaning process and also provide some more info on the polisher used?

Tire were cleaned using a citrus cleaner called P21S Total Auto Wash. We used that on wheel wells too. Once cleaned and all previous tire dressing removed, we used 303 Aerospace Protectant to condition the tires. I like this product as it doesn't leave behind residue and it gives tires a clean look without the glossy shine.

As for polisher, we used the Flex XC3401 random orbital polisher. It's a very safe and effective tool and produces a swirl/halogram free finish.

There are days I pull my hair, but for the most part, I wouldn't want it any other way. Great to see there are others that share our passion. Our clients are the reason for our success.

Thank-you for sharing - it is evident that a lot of passion goes into every detail. Those pictures were incredible.

Question... how do your clients drive their cars after they've been so finely renewed!? I would feel bad sitting in it!

Keep up the great work, and don't hesitate to share more!

Very impressive work, thanks for sharing!

What is the brand of citrus based prewash that you used? Do you apply the prewash and let it sit and then wash it off and apply the standard wash or apply prewash and take it off as soon as the entire car is covered?

Thanks again!

Thanks for checking it out Jonathan. We actually encourage clients to drive their car once the detail is performed. Because the work is so extensive, we've now protective every surface imaginable that we can get to, so some of the worry is gone. Plus, our details are made to last. A simple wash and cleaning brings it right back to when it was first detailed. And the results last months and years, not a few washes.

Use, and have used for years, P21S Total Auto Wash. Yes. Apply the prewash, allow to dwell, then rinse off. We also use this product to clean wheel wells, engine bays, door jams, etc. Very safe cleaner that is very effective.

Default exhaust polishing soap

Great work. What is the polishing soap that you used to clean the exhaust pipes? I haven't found anything to take off the carbon deposits.

Thanks,

Paul

Here's the product Paul:

A must-have in your arsenal of detailing. What you can also do with stubborn carbon deposits is use 0000 steel wool and some citrus cleaner such as P21S TAW, then come back with polishing soap to make it more brilliant.

Hope this helps.
