You can order these from Sunset too. Plug it in, close the door.

Of the different tenders in my garage I prefer the CTEK:

Please DO NOT use the one at the top of the thread. They have a tendency to wear out their filter capacitors and then supply lots of 120 Hz ripple current to the battery which causes it to accumulate sulphates on the internal parts and die a pre-mature death. I know this from experience.
The C-Tek-manufactured devices uses a high-frequency switching converter instead of a transformer/rectifier to produce their charging currents and do not make ripple currents.

Mike, I have two of them and decided to take them into the lab for testing to see what voltage & current they limit at, at the various stages. I had a data logger connected.
Neither of them entered a "maintenance (float) mode" as advertized. They just compete their charge cycle and switch off, and only when the battery voltage drops to 12.8V do they switch back on again. Actually my preferred method of battery maintenance.

I've been using the Porsche C-Tek for a couple of years on the CGT. However, someone suggested I set it on the Motorcycle setting. Huh? Anyone know why? Keeps the battery charge without burning it out over the long run??? I don't know....

If the battery is fully charged and you are using the C-TEK just to maintain it, the 0.8A setting is a slower charge rate. That is what I leave mine on when the car is just sitting there.

If it operates just like the non-branded C-TEK, the motorcycle setting is at a lower charge rate of 0.8A instead of the 3.3A charge rate for the car setting.
