Default Want to buy a CGT - anyone selling?

Guys,

There are so many crashed cars out there and so many unscrupulous dealers (inc e-bay sellers) that I've decided I'd much rather go private!

Anyone know anyone who is considering selling a nice clean CGT - ideally less than 5000 miles and in mint condition? Location unimportant - as is the color to a degree though I'd rather have a black interior - but would consider anything.

Thanks!

dealer with a C-GT for sale, but darned if I can remember which dealer, or any details. C-GT out of my league so I just sort of noticed it and then skipped on down the cars I can afford.

I sort of think it was Carlsen Porsche in Redwood City, CA....

Yep found it.

Cut/pasted from web site:

6 Speed Manual, GT Silver Metallic, Terracotta, 6 Cyl., 2.7
Stock# 2676A,
VIN: WP0CA298X4L001076

$420K. 520 miles.

Yes, I know engine's a v10 and displacement's larger than 2.7l but the pictures are of a Carrera GT and I think VIN checks out as well.

BTW, I was in that dealer a few weeks ago and salesman was offering me (lesser) cars at considerable discount. I don't know if discount is in a Carrera GT shopper's vocabulary but I thought I'd mention it.

Tell salesmanager he can floor a lot of other cars with the money he'd make selling you that car, even with a good discount.

Happy shopping.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Cats now has a basalt 1900 mile car on ebay for 335k. Seems like a pretty good deal.

I have been considering selling mine,

basic: silver exterior, black interior, <11000, miles, no accidents, new clutch, and tires., (those garage queens that sit on 4+ year old tires, need to be replaced) wired for V1 radar. I am in Monterey CA. and will be at the Historics.

Why does Richard Sloan price his cars so high? Is it because he was dealing cars with Jerry Seinfeld?

He has a 1994 flat nose for $210K - that's an absurd price. There are several low mileage examples around here for under $100K.

Price not fact, just an opinion. The prices posted at the site in question just re-inforce the need for a car shopper to do proper market/price research before venturing onto showroom floor to buy the car he wants.

Asking $210K for a '94 flat nose is one thing. Getting that price is another.

Sincerely,

Macster.

There is a big difference in "advertising" a car and "selling" a car.

$210K is car advertising

<$100K is car selling

IMHO.
