You are not blind but you have missed some of the pictures. Scroll down to the bottom and look at the extra pics.

No contest.
exactly, or a new GT3, and a new Cayenne Turbo, and a mint 928.

I haven't made up my mind yet as to whether or not I'll put in a "best offer." LOL Do you think it is possible they might be able to do a quick fix at the local Maaco for a bargain price?

Using a 50% damage to value ratio for the insurance company to total the car (just a guestimate), that thing has at least $150k to fix it up...

........ so the $500 jiffy paint job from Maaco might not quite do it?

Since this car has a monocoque CF chassis there may be (probably is) damage to the chasis. In many cases this is internal delamination that is undetectable by ordinary methods. This is at best a parts car.

Definitely true, and that can be true for most cars as well.....cars aren't really designed to be lifted off the ground. That's why good shops for high end cars use drive-on lifts. Even when jacked properly some cars experience chassis flex.

On another note, some moron broker offered me that car (not elite motorsports, but a third party), and didn't say anything about the salvage title, and just claimed it needed a new rear clip, "slight damage."
RIIIIIIGHT.

What I like is how many 928 guys are posting in the Carrera GT forum!? Go figure, I came here to see what the clutch is like to drive before I buy one.

As you will see in many posts the clutch isn't a concern at all. It is quite easy to use and has the ability to take off from a start without using any gas.
