Better ownership experience...Ferrari or Lamborghini?
For those of you who have owned one or both, what was your ownership experience like from the aspect of maintenance issues, reliability, cost of ownership?
I am toying with the idea of branching out and am curious as to others' opinions on these marques.

Done both.
Lamborghini Gallardo is a very good car. Reliable, had it 2 years and no issues. Very capable car, especially in the wet. Dealers in the U.K are few, but very good. Depreciation is the killer.
Ferrari, I had an F40, work, servicing etc was all done by an indepedent garage. I will buy another but not from new, don't like the current line up.

Assuming you are asking about current range cars, maintenance, reliability, and cost of ownership are about the same. Figure $1k per year for annual fluid changes on either brand. Both Lambo and Ferrari very reliable. Cost of ownership is higher with the Lambos as they depreciate just sitting there whereas F-cars are much more mileage sensitive. If you don't drive a late model Ferrari, it will still depreciate, but what fun is just looking at it. At the end of the day, they are fairly expensive used cars and cost of ownership is not much different than any other car.
Hope that helps.
