So, 100 to 200 km/h is 6 seconds. I'm measuring 6.7 seconds on a CGT with 91 octane, which is likely closer to 6.4 with 100 octane... so the McLaren is a bit faster.

Steve
I may be adding 2 + 2 and getting 5 here but I am guessing your "friend's" Macca was the one pictured below ?
Am I correct in saying he is a guy who posts on PH as "Flemke" ?

When I was at Manthey back end of last year with a couple of other RLers, we spotted the rear of this blue thing below and my colleague RLer didn't know what it was, it seriously did look like something Japanese, an old MR2 or something similar. It was really small and didn't look like an exotic at all...

Once we got a good look at it, especially the front it was plainly obvious that we were looking at THE icon...

TB, thanks for not outing me :-)

Bill, the AMS tests are done with passenger and full (?) tank.
The CGT did more like 7.0 seconds in the AMS tests.
I would say 6 seconds compared to 7 seconds is not marginal.
