Can any of you guys tell me how much a set of full six point harnesses cost you inthe usa.
Over here in england 2 sets for both seats including all official porsche hardware is about 3,000$!!

Autosport Designs ("www.autosportdesigns.com") outfitted a CGT at no where near that price.

 

I did mine and i think it cost something around that. Well worth it.

 

I bought a set through Carnewal, which is kind of a backdoor method of getting Euro parts here in the U.S. They were about $2800 for the pair including all hardware, iirc.

What all does the "kit" include and did it include installation?

 

Does not include installation. E-mail or call Gert (carnewal.com) for specifics. I'm completely satisfied with the belts.

 

Does the shoulder harness bolt into the threaded holes behind the seats? Do the lap belts use the same mounts as the original belts?

but the sub belt is the tricky part, I believe it requires drilling into that low cost
carbon fiber "monocoque"

The kit from Carnewal includes a bar that fits underneath the seat (like the 996GT2 & 3) that allows the crotch strap to be fitted without the need to drill holes in the tub.

I for one don't fancy getting wet feet if it rains.

Exactly. The Carnewal kit really is first class. Very out-of-the-way installation. If you like, I can take photos of the sub belt arrangement for you.

Just need to check it fits CGT seat,there is one available for the 997gt3rs seats,which should be the same.
