The CGT is scheduled for its intro to the local chapter of PCA in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to it and hopefully we'll get it out on the track in all its glory.

My Italian is an 88 Countach -- icon of the 80's and a blast to drive -- though nowhere near either the F40 or CGT in technology or performance. The CGT is the most incredible machine I've ever driven on land. I've had both on Road America for touring and a few hot laps. I've seen 147 mph on the Lambo and 157 on the CGT -- mostly I look out, not down at the speedo. I'm early in the learning curve for the CGT, but I'm already very impressed -- especially with the brakes. And the sound!
The most fun so far was lapping with a Ferrari Formula 33 (I think that is how it is designated). God, what a magnificent macine! 650 hp and less than 2000 pounds! I think he was humoring me, just to let me enjoy the view.

That monstrosity on the ffront was Lamborgini's way of meeting the bumper requirements in the late 80"s. That anterior spoiler was for downforce. All in all that particular model of the countach was pretty ugly )no offense to those that own it-just my opinion).

I own it and agree its not the prettiest thing on wheels -- only one of the meanist looking. It still twists the necks of teenagers and teenagers-at-heart. The best version has the European front end which was not legal here. The front wing hides (or at least takes one's eyes off) the ugly front American bumper. Looks much better in real life. At least this '88 is the year before Countachs got really ugly with the Aniversary edition. And with the 4 valve engine, I believe this was the best version of the Countaches brought to the USA.
To be honest, I don't believe the front wing adds any real down force on this machine. The car is already a severe wedge. Wings -- That is the way things were done in the late 1980s. The factory always said even the rear wing only slowed the car.
