I wish I had a 993 in my stable. mac993 which rest. Do you have down town? I'm sure i've been. I live at restaurants down town. Tomorrow afternoon is looking nice for me. I haven't driven her all week and I'm gone all of next week on business and will be going through withdrawal so a nice ride tomorrow should pull me through.

No problem. A dose of two wheeled titanium will set me straight. Torrey Pines here I come! UHG! HILL REPEATS!!! Guess I should watch the Lance Chronicles on OLN or some old tape of le tour to get me pumped up for a ride on a friday afternoon instead of happy hour.

Well, I'm not going to call it one way or another, but the first CGT pictured in this thread looks a whole lot more like someone wasn't used to the rear view and made the car have violent intercourse with a pole rather than it got hit by a truck, if you know what I mean. Erm, and sorry for digging up an old thread. Didn't notice the date.

there will always be a premium over MSRP for this car except for the people who are on the initial 1500.
Well, that's already changed. Currently you can purchase a new CGT at MSRP. And I spoke with a owner last month that purchased used at 25K under.

CGT's for under MSRP?
You mentioned CGT's selling for below MSRP in Germany. What are some of the selling prices you've seen? I'd be very interested in buying and keeping a CGT in Europe, but my understanding is that the Euro-based MSRP is 390,000 which equates to about $520,000 USD. The price for a brand new CGT would have to drop well below 325,000 Euros to interest me. It seems to make more sense to buy a CGT here in the US for $440,000 and ship it to Europe.
Anyone notice that the repaired CGT (VIN ending with 1029, and subject of this thread) was bid on EBAY to $390,100 over the weekend. The seller then lowered the reserve to $390,101 but the car went unsold and was relisted. Not sure of what games are being played with this car, but it seems to indicate someone is willing to pay as much as $50K under MSRP for a repaired Carrera GT.
Anyone heard any info on when the CGT production will be complete, and the final number of cars produced?

I think MSRP in Germany is EUR 440'000, including VAT. Without VAT, MSRP is EUR 360k.
I saw more than 10 ads for 440k or below, including 2 under 400k. Check out this site.
But you're right: at the current ccy rates, it would make more sense to buy it in the US and ship it to Europe. I once checked the shipping costs from EU to the US: roughly USD 10k by sea, and USD 15-20k by air (don't remember exactly).
Final number of cars is still supposed to be 1'500, although I wonder if Porsche will produce all of them. Funnily, Porsche's website doesn't mention the CGT being a limited production car...
